Cornwall Insight

In 2017, we invested in Cornwall Insight, a leading energy market consultancy, headquartered in Norwich. Alongside our investment, we introduced the business to Volker Beckers (previously CEO of RWE Npower and a member of the PwC Advisory Board) who was appointed non-executive chair. We later introduced the team to industry experts Kate Broughton and Steve Jennings, who both went on to join Cornwall Insight’s board.​

Our funding and support enabled Cornwall Insight to enhance its brand, drive organic growth, and expand its geographic footprint. The company successfully opened new offices in both Ireland and Australia. It also won the FT Management Consultancy Award for the energy, utilities and environment sector.​

We exited Cornwall Insight in 2022, when it was acquired by private equity firm Bowmark Capital, five years on from our initial investment. At this point, the business was generating annual revenue growth of over 20%.
