First set up in 2011, we now back hundreds of companies across a variety of investment stages, sectors and regions — with a well-capitalised, evergreen balance sheet of £3bn. We partner with founders and management teams to add value beyond our investments, without taking control.

To date, we’ve helped grow the likes of Brompton, Amdaris, St Pierre Groupe and Kids Planet, and successfully launched BGF in the Republic of Ireland.

And as a certified UK B Corp, we’ve also demonstrated our commitment to socially and environmentally responsible practices, from energy, waste and water use to worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency.

We seek to create inclusive and equitable environments, where everyone can flourish. We also know that diverse viewpoints make for better solutions and help drive innovation, so we’re committed to improving representation (within BGF and across our portfolio) to better reflect the communities we operate in.

Our award-winning Diversity Action Group (DAG) supports this mission and acts as a sounding board in the shaping of our EDI strategy. And we’ve partnered with Diversity VC, EmployAbility, 10,000 Black Interns, ADHD Girls, and The Tall Wall, to support these efforts.

We also offer internship and graduate programmes, to help diversify and nurture talent in our industry, working with universities and recruitment partners to develop the next generation.
