Co-founded by Richard Powner and James Riley in 2004, Environmental Essentials now operates across six offices in the UK, in Stoke-on-Trent, Sandbach, Sheffield, Glasgow, Crawley and London. The company’s clients include the Houses of Parliament, alongside several tier-one construction companies, NHS Trusts, high street food retailers, and pub operators.
In total, BGF has invested £5.6 million into the business, as Environmental Essentials looks to cement its position across the UK as a ‘one-stop shop’ for key compliance services, including asbestos management, water hygiene, and fire risk management.
We are supporting the company’s ambitious buy-and-build growth strategy, which has so far seen it acquire Callidus Health & Safety, asbestos consultancy Adams Environmental, and water and air hygiene specialists Quality Environmental Services.
